Wicked Ways: A Begging for Bad Boys Collection

This is a collection of twelve short stories based around a Halloween party given by two professors at LSU.  The are all well written and I enjoyed reading this book very much.  Each author did their homework and the characters carried over from story to story.  I was amazed the relationships were described correctly, the costumes were described correctly and the stories seemed to flow from on to the other in a well organized manner.  I highly recommend it if you like sexy reads with HEA's for everyone!  Don't wait for this one.  It's perfect for this time of year.

Protecting Alabama's Kids by Susan Stoker

This book gives us a continuation of Susan Stoker's earlier book, Protecting Alabama.  We not only get a look and Abe and Alabama's growing family, but the story of a young, mistreated boy's journey to healing and love.  This book is part of a Kindle World offering and Susan ventures into the supernatural is presenting the solutions.  This book offers suspense, laughter, family understanding and the determination of some badass SEALs to save to day to make it a spellbinding read.  If you're a fan of  Ms. Stoker's SEAL of Protection series, then you'll love getting  the chance to see them all in action once again.  This book brought smiles, tears and such a range of emotion.  I couldn't put it down until I finished it.  Get yours today and prepare to do nothing else until you finish it.

Wolf Betrayed by Carrie Ann Ryan

This book is the continuation of the Talon and Redwood packs interactions with each other.  As all of Ms. Ryan's books in these series's, it is an excellent story that keeps you reading from page one to the very end.  Shane Bruins was a soldier working with the enemies of the shapeshifters.  At least he was until he was injected with something that made him into a shifter too.  He flees to the Talon pack lands in search of help and close to death.  They take him in and accept him as one of their own.  Charlotte Jameson and Bram Devlin from the Redwood pack meet him while on Talon land.  Bram and Charlotte love each other and know they should be mates, but the mate bond did not develop for them.  When meeting Shane, they both realize that he is meant for them.  This is a fast paced story and full of twist and turns. Between trying to save the packs from attack, learning to trust Shane, and embarking on a menage relationship, this book will keep glued to the pages until the very end.  Don't hesitate to get this one, you won't regret it.

Dog Tags for Christmas by Lindsay McKenna, J.M. Madden and KaLyn Cooper

This book proved to be an excellent read.  All three stories are good, heartwarming stories well worth the time taken to read them.  Lindsay McKenna's  "Snowflake's Gift" is about a veteran that has returned from active duty with his WMD dog.  Trying to acclimate to civilian life is hard and Nick's PTSD makes it that much trickier.  If it wasn't for his canine companion he'd have a much harder time.  He agrees to help Holly McGuire deliver meals to shut ins in exchange for an apartment in a complex she manages.  This is a warm, touching story of two people trying to get their lives in order and how, with the help of one very special dog, many lives are changed.
In  J.M. Madden's "S'EAL's Christmas Dream"  we get to visit Joe Flynn and his veterinarian wife, Willow, along with Joe's dog, Maya.  For those of you who are fans of Ms. Madden, these characters are from an earlier novella, but you can read this story and not be lost even if you haven't read the earlier book.  Joe and Willow have a new baby to deal with along with a malnourished, skiddish stray dog they are trying to help. Oh, and did I mention the young man hanging around with a dog of his own that need assistance.  This is a very busy story, but one that is well written and filled with twists and turns I think you'll love.
Last, but not least, KaLyn Cooper's "Noel's Puppy Power" brings us Tanner Hill, who runs a kennel and trains service dogs for vets with PTSD, and Dr. Bailey Conrad, a psychologist and veteran who lost part of her leg from an IED in Iraq.  She helps him find the right veteran for his dogs.  This is a sweet story of how they find the courage to trust their feelings and take a chance on each other. We get to see the ladies of the Black Swan from Ms. Cooper's newest series and it's interesting to see how Tanner recognized their stress and worked to help them as well as Bailey.  Get your copy today.  Well worth your money and time.

Bishop's Queen by Cristin Harber

Bishop's Queen marks the launch of the series of books about the newly hired members of Titan.  I have loved and followed all of the previous entries to this series and I'm happy to say the Ms. Harber doesn't disappoint with this one.  We get to see our old Titan teammates and how they are all doing with their families as well as how these new guys interact with them and each other.  This new story involves Bishop O'Kane, newly hired by Jared Weston to work for Titan, and Ella Leighton, a blogger and advocate for saving the planet.  There is another interesting bit of information about Ella, but I won't reveal it here because I consider it a spoiler for the reader.  Someone's after Ella, and the interesting thing to me in this story is that we know who the bad guy is almost from the beginning.  We just have to watch Ella, Titan, the police and the FBI try to figure it out before someone gets badly hurt.  I received the ARC in exchange for an honest review, but I will be buying my own copy when it comes out.  I received it today and couldn't put it down until I finished it.  Another hit for Cristin Harber and I hope you get yours when it's released.  Typical Titan--action, fiery tempers and hot sex.  What more could you ask?

Embattled Ever After by J.M. Madden

I have loved J.M. Madden since her first LNF book.  This has been a wonderful series and I hate to see her come to the end of it.  Duncan Wilde has been a major character in all of the books since he is the founder of Lost and Found (LNF).  Ms. Madden did an excellent job in bringing us his story and in the process, she kept us up to date with others we have come to love and care about in this series.  There are some twist and turns that bring laughter and tears to your eyes, but I assure you this is one you don't want to miss.  There's a satisfaction in Duncan finding his HEA, but a sadness in leaving this group of men and women behind.  I do hope we see more of them in the spin off series.  I think we might since they are loosely related.  An excellent read and I encourage you to pick yours up today.

Bound & SEAL'D by Kara Hart

This a an excellent story of a disabled vet who has returned home both wounded and disillusioned about what happened while deployed.  It is well written and presents a story that will make you think about what really happens to these brave men and women we send into battle.Colt presents us a hero who doesn't feel like a hero.  He's lost friends, lost his leg and feels betrayed by his country.  I think this story will hold you until the very end,  Kara Hart writes a well planned story that lets her characters develop and grow in a believable manner.  You'll love Colt and Lena and as you ride this roller coaster with them, I think you'll be glad how it ends.  Well worth your time.

Cockpit: A Second Chance Romance by Joanna Blake

This book is the story of Derek Jagger and Jenny Reeds.  Derek is a Master Sgt. and pilot.  He has a one night hook up with Jenny and she runs off. He's deployed for several months and when he get back he reassigned as instructor at another base.  He's trying to figure out how to find Jenny with no last name when he sees her on the base.  He thinks she's babysitting for someone.  Little does he know the darling baby is his.  This is the story of how Derek goes about trying to win back the heart of the only woman to ever make a yearn for forever.  Oh yeah, did I mention she's also the General's daughter!  Pick this one up today.  It's a lot of fun.

SEALed With A Weekend by Natasza Waters

I Love this writer.  She tells wonderful, well written, concise stories that hold me captive from page one.  This one is no different.  It's a light, fun filled story not at all like her Warrior's Challenge series.  This one is based on a blind date weekend in the mountains with a group of SEALs awaiting deployment and women from a magazine who are trying to work up a story based on the outing.  As with all her books, I read it from start to finish without stopping. We got to meet a lot of interesting characters including Vanessa Langara, head of the magazine and sole guardian of here sister, along with Lt. Seth McKnight, leader of the SEAL team.  He had not planned to attend "the weekend", but was tricked by his best friend and fellow SEAL.  Pick this one up.  I'm sure you'll enjoy the happenings of the weekend (especially the visit from the biker gang!!)  Well worth your time.

A Soldier's Gift by Lynne St. James

I thought this was an excellent book.  I've had it in my TBR list for quite a while and am sorry I didn't get to it sooner.  It's the story of Lt. Tom McDonald, an injured veteran left with a head injury and blindness, and Beth Frazier, owner of a bookstore and mother to a daughter who was injured in a car accident that claimed the life of her husband.  Tom received a cornea transplant in hopes that his vision will return.  He meets Beth at the hospital where he is telling stories to sick kids that are confined there.  This is the story of how their feelings grow and they help each other heal.  It's a really good story and told in a way that feels believable and right.  I think you will enjoy reading this one and hope you pick it up.  Don't wait as long as I did because in the end, it's a feel good book and we all need one of those.

Unleashed by Penelope Marshall

This is a story of a captured Navy SEAL, Elijah Black, who was tortured during his captivity.  Nasima was his nurse, and related to his captor.  The story shows how their love grew and how she was punished for loving him.  It takes a strange turn when the truth about Nasima comes to light and Elijah's whole world comes crashing down.  This is told in the first person with chapters rotating between Elijah and Nasima.  It was well written and the surprise ending was a great way to end the story.  I enjoyed this book and appreciate the free ARC given me in exchange for an honest review.

Live Wire by Cristin Harber

I'm a fan of all things Cristin Harber and have been from the first book she published.  This one is no different.  It's a short novella that introduces the reader to new characters that are being infused into the Titan family and also gives us the long awaited story of Jared and Sugar's baby's birth.  This is not a long involved, dangerous story like the other books, but a light, smile invoking story of one of Sugar's crazy ideas gone haywire.  You don't have to know all the back stories, but this one might make you want to pick up the other books of the series and get to know this unique men and women.  Loved it and hope you get yours today.

Love Me Tender, Love You Hard by Sharon Hamilton

This is an excellent light, quick read by Sharon Hamilton.  This one deals with the trauma of the returning wounded veteran and the concerns of those who love them.  It is a serious subject, but she handled it with understanding and just the right amount of humor.  Derek Farley is the returning SEAL with a leg injury that will prevent him from ever being a part of his SEAL team again.  Remy Bolt is the woman who loves him, but fears, not only for his mental state and recovery, but her own safety.  Therefore, she leaves him.  This is the story of  Derek's coming to accept his fate and moving on with another life plan and finding his was back to Remy.  It's a sweet romance and well worth taking the time to read it.  I hope you get yours today

Royal Rock by B B Hamel

When I started this book I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not.  However, just a few pages in, I knew it was going to be a good one,  It was.  The story line was an interesting one.  An American family with  a royal past in a small country is invited back to experience their roots. However, there is an ulterior motive of bringing them there.  The newly crowned, young king needs an heir and the thinks Bryce would make the perfect mother to that heir.  Bryce is not impressed with Trip, the new kind.  He is arrogant, smart mouthed and extremely hot.  Their dance around each other is fun to watch.  As they discover there are hidden depths to each other and that they compliment each other we see them grow closer and more sure of themselves.  There's underhanded deals at hand and not everyone can be trusted, but Trip and Bryce make a good team.  Get this one.  It will keep you on your toes and I think you'll like it.

Bad Boy Daddy by Chance Carter

I've found that I really look forward to Chance's releases.  His books are interesting, fast paced and filled with sexual situations.  However, as you read, you realize there's more than sex involved in his writings.  These are pretty emotionally involved stories and this one is no different.  This story revolves around Jackson and Faith.  Jackson is a bad ass, motorcycle riding guy with a big heart and Faith is a smart, beautiful young woman who has gotten in over her head with a terrible, vicious motorcycle gang.  Jackson helps her escape her situation, but wants something BIG in return.  I'll not giveaway anymore, but this story had an real interesting twist and you'll be surprised at the time span of this book.  If you love bad boys and HEA's get this one today.  You'll love it!

Band of Bachelors: Alex by Sharon Hamilton

This is the second book in this series by Ms Hamilton.  As always, she doesn't disappoint!  This story is about Navy SEAL Alex Kowicki and up and coming Volleyball player Sydney Robinson.  They are both adrenaline  junkies and are so cute together.  The story is a fast paced one and I read it in one setting.  I just couldn't put it down until I found out how it ended. I loved seeing old friends and getting the scope on what's been going on with them.  As all of her books, the danger seems to come looking for our SEALs and the people they love.  The excitement in ending the danger will keep you on the edge of your seat.  Get this one today.  You'll love it!!

Ink Enduring by Carrie Ann Ryan

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.  I love Carrie Ann Ryan and have read almost every series she's written.  This book is the next installment of the Montgomery family series.  It;s the story of Mays, Jake and Booker.  Jake and Booker have been dancing around each other for years in the guise best friends,  Their true feelings are brought to the front by the arrival of Booker, a past romantic interest of Jake's.  In all their searches for happiness, they discover the three of them need each other to be complete.  This is a wonderful story and their path to finding happiness is a heartwarming one to read.  If threesomes, explicit sex or raw language offend you, you might want to skip this one, But, if not, you'll love this one.  Must say I was surprised at the end.  It went opposite from the way I thought it would, but happy just the same.  Pick this one up today.

Protecting His Own by Cherise Sinclair

As always, Ms. Sinclair does not disappoint.  "Protecting His Own" is a followup story about   Master Nolan and Beth from "Breaking Free" and their quest to have children,  It is a warm yet sad story that held me captive from start to finish.  It deal with the aftermath of Beth's injuries from her abusive husband and her and Nolan's journey to adopt a child.  Beth's work with an abusive women's shelter and her involvement with the children there plays a major part in this story.  I loved the scenes of big, bad Master Nolan being a father and role model to these children.  It was well written, as always, and well worth the money and time invested.  Get your's today.

One Night SEAL by BB Hamel

Once again BB Hamel has delivered an exciting, hot romance.  This one is between Travis, an active Navy SEAL on downtime and Hartley, a naive young girl messed up with a badass group called the Dixie Mafia.  From the very first, when Travis rescues Hartley from a beating and near rape in broad daylight to the last page with its' HEA, this is a book that keeps you turning pages.  The characters are delightful with Hartley being young and naive but also savvy in working people and staying alive to Travis, Navy SEAL who escaped his dubious beginnings to become the best of the best.  With his cockiness, but with the skill and nerve to back it up, he not only keeps Hartley alive but wins her heart, It truly is a journey worth taking.  You'll not be able to put it down until you finish.  At least I couldn't.  Get yours today.

Payne by Kim Linwood

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.  This is the first thing I've read by Ms. Linwood and I will be reading others.  This was an excellent story from the first page to the last.  Payne is an ex Navy SEAL, now in the business of contract killing.  Nora is a rookie police officer on her first real assignment.  Unfortunately (or fortunately). their jobs overlap.  Their journey to each other, Payne's journey to find his real self and Nora's journey to find her life's work makes for an excellent read.  It is well worth the money and the time invested in reading it.  It's full of plot twists and excitement as well as the hot sex between two people who know they should know better, but just don't care to walk away from each other.

Taming the Biker by Cassie Alaxandra

This is the last installment in this series so far.  This is the story of Taylor (AKA Tail) Adams and Lauren Macey.  They were classmates in high school and meet years later at the wedding of her sister and Taylor's best friend from school. It is the story of  how they renew on old friendship and how it becomes much more.  I have enjoyed all five of these books and can't wait for the next installment this summer.  They show the life of a MC and how the brotherhood is dedicated to each other and their families.  It has violence, bad language and a great amount of sex, so if this isn't for you or if it offends you, you should pass on this one and the entire series.  If you're ok with it, pick up your copy today.  It's a good story and a fairly quick read.  You don't need to have read the prior books to understand this one.  It pretty much stand on it's own. However, if you enjoy it, I suggest you start with the first one and get to know this group of men and their women.  I think you'd really like them.

Delta Revenge by Cristin Harber

This is the latest in Cristin Harber's Delta series.  It is the story of Javier and Sophia, and like all her books, it's exciting, action packed and HOT!!  I love this author.  Her stories catch your interest from page one to the very end.  Javier tries to leave Sophia alone because he feels she deserves so much better than him.  However, Sophia know there is no one better than this warrior who has not only been there for her when her heart was broken by another, but also has risked his life more than once to rescue her from dangerous and deadly situations.  If you've read Ms. Harber before, you know how she weaves danger and love into a breathtaking story that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end.  This book is no exception.  Get yours today and settle in for an excellent read!

Shelter for Elizabeth by Susan Stoker

This new release from Susan Stoker is, like her previous books in this series, a wonderful, well  written story.  Cade and Beth are well developed characters that instantly captivate the readers interest.  Avid readers of Ms. Stoker will know Beth from her SEAL of  Protection series, "Protecting Summer".  I was glad to see this book, since I have wondered what happened to Elizabeth after her kidnapping and torture in that book.  All we knew then was she was rescued and turned over for medical treatment.  It is good to get the story of how she has survived and is coping with the issues left her due to that incident.  I love how Ms. Stoker pairs her heroines with compassionate and understanding men who help them reach their potential.  Cade and Beth have their demons work through, and watching them do that is emotional and heartwarming.   This is an excellent read and one I enthusiastically recommend.  You have the extra bonus of seeing Penelope from "Protecting the Future" (she's Cade's sister), Sam and Summer from "Protecting Summer" and the infamous Tex who is everyone's hero!  On a scale of one to ten, this one is definitely a 10+!  Before leaving I need to note that I was given an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, which I am glad to give.

Prowled Darkness by Carrie Ann Ryan

This is the last book in the Dante's Circle series and Ms. Ryan did an excellent job of ending this story line.  Eliana Sawyers is the last of the lightening struck women to meet her true mate.  The results of an earlier affair with Malik Ward, is a pregnancy she is trying to get through alone along with a broken heart from when Malik just disappeared from her life.  As it turns out, Malik is the prince of the lion shifter community and, not knowing of the pregnancy, left Eliana before getting "too" involved since he could never marry a human.  Neither knew of the others secrets and when Malik finds out Eliana is more than human, he makes a hasty trip back to her.  This is pretty much where the book starts.  They have to work with their own trust issues as well as those in Malik's pride trying to  sabotage their every move.  Another issue is dealing with what Eliana has become since the mating was finalized.  Ms. Ryans imagination is a wonder to me.  She never fails to surprise and entertain.  This is a quick read, but a very full one. This copy was given to me in exchange for an honest review, but I will be purchasing it also.  Get yours today, I know you'll love it.

Kissing the Killer by B B Hamel

This book, like all of  this authors reads, is a gritty, on the edge ride from the very first page to the very last word.  I've read several things by BB Hamel and, I must admit it took me a while to get use to the style.  These are not sweet, middle America, happy go lucky families smiling their way through what we consider day to day problems.  This story centers around Brooks, a hit man for the Italian mob and Emma, the daughter of a man he was hired to kill.  Rules were he should kill her too so as to leave no witnesses.  Seems Brooks is a killer with a conscience where women and children are concerned.  One look at Emma and he knew he couldn't kill her, so he took her.  This is the story of how they came to be in love and how they worked through the problem of keeping her alive.  It was raw, gritty and filled with explicit sexual encounters and language.  If this is offensive to you, better pass this one over.  If it isn't, this was an exciting, fast paced read and I think you'd really enjoy it.  Pick up your copy today and settle in.  The basic story line is good, but the twist and turns will  keep you on the edge of your seat until the end.  I was given this copy in exchange for an honest  review, but I feel it is well worth the purchase price.

Bastard SEAL by B B Hamel

I enjoyed this story and the way the characters grew and interacted with each other. Emory and Tara met and in that one night created Mason. who Emory knew nothing about. I found it interesting to see how Tara took her responsibility to heart and held no ill feelings toward Emory for how it all happened, I think you will enjoy seeing the relationship develop between Tara and Emory as her family tries to reconcile the story Emory is telling them with their life style. It's hard to believe you are involved with international terrorist when you live in middle America. Things heat up quickly and all works out in the end, but it is a good read and kept me interested until the very end. Get yours today and settle in for an enjoyable read!!

Assisting Aimee by Susan Stoker

I love this story of Tony and Aimee. I realize it is a cross over story with Desiree Holt's Omega Team series, but the fact that I have not read that one yet did not hinder my enjoyment of this book. It did however introduce me to some new characters that I will be reading about in the near future! This was a sweet story about two veterans who have found another purpose in life since serving their country. It highlights the problems in today's schools and shows how these two determined people met that challenge. I really enjoyed it and it was fun to see how Tony, ex Special Forces, was so unsure about approaching Aimee for a date. I found it sweet and endearing. I think you'll love this if you're a Susan Stoker fan and I am. Get yours today!!

True Blue SEALS: Zak by Sharon Hamilton

As usual, Sharon Hamilton has written another wonderful book in her SEAL Brotherhood Series. This is a continuation of a novella written earlier about Zak and Amy and this one gives us insight into their lives after Zak makes the teams and they're married. I gives some real insight into what the families go through when one of the men is hurt on deployment and how their recovery affects, not just them, but everyone they are involved with. There were parts of this story that just made my heart hurt as well as parts that made it soar. I think you will love this one as much as or more than the others in the series. Zak and Amy will touch your heart and make you feel like a part of their family in their time of crisis. Get yours today!

Her Adoring SEAL by Caitlyn O'Leary

This book was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review and I can't wait to give it. This is an excellent book with a story line that grabs you from the first page to the last. Caitlyn has created a would of wonderful, dedicated men and women who touch your heart and make you wish you could be a part of them. This story of Jack and Beth is sweet, exciting and sexy all rolled together. Jacks efforts to protect Beth while at the same time trying to heal her and convince her to give him a chance at love is a story I greatly enjoyed reading and I think you will too.

Her Secret Wish by J. M. Madden

This book is and expanded edition of an earlier book Ms. Madden wrote for an anthology. We met Rachel in Embattled Home and this is her and Dean's story. I love this strong woman and the equally strong and compassionate man who falls in love with her. Ms. Madden writes wonderful stories of men and women who have made life altering sacrifices defending their country. They have come back from devastating injuries and are making a place for themselves in civilian life working at Lost and Found. It is a security agency started my three "combat modified" vets. This installment takes us on the journey of Rachel and Dean as they meet and learn to trust and love each other. I think you'll love it as much as the others she's written and I urge you to get your copy today!

Rescuing Rayne by Susan Stoker

This is the perfect beginning to Susan Stokers new series. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review and I'm glad to give one. I love this writer. Her Seals of Protection series was wonderful--there wasn't a bad book in the bunch and I think this Delta Force Heroes series is going to be the same. The story is well thought out and well written. Ghost and Rayne make a wonderful couple and their journey to find each other and realize just how special their relationship is is an exciting one for the reader. We meet an entire new team, but also get to see the SEALs briefly and have them help Ghost retrieve Rayne. It was fun watching Wolf explain to Ghost how much this woman would mean to him and how much making it work will be worth it. The story moved quickly and kept my interest. You'll not be disappointed in this one. I just can't wait for the next one.
